ABB Smart Power: Amanda Andreazza appointed as new general counsel
Amanda Andreazza (pictured) marks a new milestone in her international career as she joins ABB in the role of General Counsel for the Smart Power division, the group’s technology wing with solutions that make power supplies smart, connected and protected.
The appointment was announced by Andreazza herself via a LinkedIn post, in which she reflected on the personal significance of this achievement – recalling her roots as the daughter of Italian immigrants raised in rural Australia – and her longstanding ambition, nurtured since childhood, to pursue a legal career with real-world impact and an international dimension. She also highlighted the importance of teamwork and inclusive leadership, with a focus on developing talent within a global team.
Andreazza joins the group following more than eight years at Baker Hughes, where she held positions of increasing responsibility, ultimately leading the legal function for the Gas Technology Equipment, Industrial & Technology Solutions business.
In her new role, Andreazza will support one of ABB’s most strategically significant divisions, which is dedicated to developing solutions for electrification and intelligent energy management — areas central to the global energy transition.
Throughout her career, she has built extensive international experience across Europe, Asia-Pacific, and the Middle East, having held senior leadership positions at GE and worked on complex transactions in the energy, technology, and infrastructure sectors.
