IEG: former GC Ilaria Cicero appointed global exhibition director for food & beverage

Ilaria Cicero (pictured) has been appointed to lead the food & beverage division of Italian Exhibition Group on a global basis. IEG is a trade fair and congress company founded in 2016 through a joint venture between Rimini Fiera and Fiera di Vicenza, listed on Borsa Italiana since 2019. Cicero has been entrusted with responsibility for the SIGEP World, Beer & Food Attraction, BBTech Expo, and Mixology Attraction exhibitions, as well as all of the group’s international trade fair initiatives dedicated to the food sector, organised across Asia and the United States.

Cicero joined the group in March 2023 as CEO and International Legal Counsel of IEG Asia.

Prior to joining IEG, she built an extensive career at Fiera Milano, which she joined in 2008 as Legal Director, before becoming Head of Legal and Corporate Affairs in 2018, and Group General Counsel — also overseeing the M&A department — from 2020.

She left Fiera Milano at the end of 2022 to found Ilaika Consulting, a Singapore-based advisory firm of which she remains CEO. In her new role at Italian Exhibition Group, she now takes global responsibility for the development and coordination of the group’s major food & beverage exhibitions.
