Chiesi: Pellegrino appointed senior director, global legal business partnerships, ops & innovation
Federica Clarissa Pellegrino (pictured) has taken on a new role within Chiesi Group. The lawyer has been promoted to Senior Director, Global Legal Business Partnerships, Operations & Innovation at the Parma-based pharmaceutical group.
In her new position, Pellegrino will coordinate legal activities in support of strategic partnerships, operations, and innovation processes, with a particular focus on industrial collaboration, licensing, and the protection of innovation.
Pellegrino has been with Chiesi since 2014 and has held a number of roles within the legal function over the years. Most recently, she served as Lead Legal Counsel in the Global Legal Business, Innovation & Protection team, providing legal support on partnership and licensing agreements and on initiatives relating to the development and protection of intellectual property.
She previously held the positions of Group Senior Legal Counsel and DigiHealth Legal Manager, as well as Digital Legal Manager and Group Legal Counsel.
Alongside her corporate role, Pellegrino serves as a mentor for pharma and biotech startups at G-Factor, the incubator and accelerator of the Fondazione Golinelli.
Prior to joining Chiesi, she worked at Simmons & Simmons, focusing primarily on intellectual property matters for clients in the pharmaceutical, cosmetics, and TMT sectors.
