Enfinity Global appoints Borja Gonzalez-Barba as CFO Europe
Enfinity Global has appointed Borja Gonzalez-Barba (pictured) as chief financial officer for Europe. Based in Madrid, he took up the role in April.
The appointment was announced by Gonzalez-Barba himself in a LinkedIn post, in which he expressed his enthusiasm about joining the group at a key stage in its regional expansion. “Enfinity Global is a powerful catalyst in the global transition toward sustainable energy, and joining the company at such a pivotal moment in its regional expansion is both an honor and an inspiring challenge,” he wrote, thanking the team for the warm welcome and smooth onboarding.
In his new position, Gonzalez-Barba will support the development of the group’s European operations and contribute to the creation of long-term value, helping accelerate the transition toward a cleaner and more sustainable future.
Before joining Enfinity Global, Gonzalez-Barba spent more than four years at Northland Power, where he served as vice president and CFO of the Onshore Renewables business unit from January 2023, after holding the position of finance director for Spain.
Previously, he was CFO for Europe and Latin America at Trina Solar from 2020 to 2021. Earlier in his career, between 2016 and 2019, he served as CFO Chile at Statkraft, overseeing finance, accounting, treasury, procurement, budgeting and forecasting, as well as relationships with advisors and financial institutions.
