Lisa Ribes leaves Chanel to join the Paris Bar

Lisa Ribes (pictured) has moved from an in-house legal role to private practice, joining the Paris Bar after nearly two years with CHANEL‘s Global Legal Department in London.

Announcing the move on LinkedIn, Ribes said she was “delighted” to have been admitted to the Paris Bar and thanked Cécile Cailac for her trust and mentorship during her time at CHANEL. She also highlighted the opportunity to work with legal professionals from around the world on complex cross-border intellectual property matters.

She joined CHANEL in September 2024 as Legal Counsel within the company’s Global Intellectual Property team. Prior to this, she completed intellectual property traineeships at Hogan Lovells in Paris and at the Intellectual Property Chamber of the Paris Court of Appeal, building expertise across trademark, copyright and cross-border IP matters.

The move marks a return to private practice, where Ribes will focus on advising clients on intellectual property law in France.
