Antoine Marcilhacy joins Redion Group as general counsel
Redion Group (formerly Europ Assistance) has appointed Antoine Marcilhacy (pictured) as General Counsel and a member of the Group Management Committee, effective May 2026, bringing to the role more than two decades of international experience in legal affairs, compliance and M&A.
Marcilhacy joins from Coface, the French credit insurance group, where he spent over 21 years building a broad-based legal and strategic career. He served as Group General Counsel at Coface from January 2023, having previously led the company’s M&A and Corporate Development function as Director of Strategic Planning from 2016, a role in which he built and ran the M&A team responsible for the group’s acquisitions, disposals and partnerships worldwide, including the acquisition of Norway’s GIEK Kredit in 2020 and Slovenia’s PKZ in 2019, among more than 15 deals evaluated during his tenure. Earlier in his career at Coface, he also headed the company’s PMO function overseeing strategic projects across 30 countries, served as Chief of Staff to the CEO with responsibility for public and regulatory affairs, and spent close to a decade as Deputy Director of Legal and Compliance, where he managed a 16-strong legal team and helped design the group’s Sapin 2 compliance framework.
Before Coface, Marcilhacy practised as a lawyer with Cabinet Lucas-Delvolvé in Paris and worked as counsel with WJB Chiltern in London, advising French expatriates on legal, social and tax matters.
At Redion, based in the Greater Paris area, Marcilhacy takes on the role at what the company describes as a pivotal moment in its development, as the group works to strengthen its legal and regulatory leadership across its global markets in support of its ambition to become the world’s premier care partner. “The legal function has a decisive role to play in securing this ambition and supporting its growth across all our markets,” he said. “I look forward to contributing, alongside the teams, to this new chapter.”
