Loro Piana Alessandro Buscemi is the new general counsel
Alessandro Buscemi (pictured) has joined Loro Piana, part of the LVMH group, as General Counsel, moving in-house after more than 12 years at Chiomenti, where he most recently served as Of Counsel.
Buscemi announced the move on LinkedIn, saying he leaves Chiomenti with “enormous gratitude for the people, experiences and opportunities” that shaped him both professionally and personally.
He joined the Italian law firm in 2014 as an Associate and was promoted to Senior Associate in 2019 and Managing Associate in 2022, before becoming Of Counsel in January 2025. During his time at Chiomenti, Buscemi also completed a six-month secondment at Zambon.
Before joining Chiomenti, he spent around two years as an Associate at Withers. Earlier in his career, between 2011 and 2012, he worked as an Attorney-at-Law at the New York City Law Department.
Commenting on his new role, Buscemi said he was looking forward to contributing to Loro Piana, a company he has “long admired for its heritage and its pursuit of excellence”, and to beginning the new chapter within LVMH.
