Sullivan Street Partners brings in Renny as general counsel
Sullivan Street Partners has named Lawrence Renny (pictured) as its new General Counsel, strengthening the legal function of the UK-based investment firm as it continues to grow.
Renny brings deep expertise in private equity and M&A transactions, built over years of advising financial sponsors on mid-market deals at two leading law firms. Prior to joining Sullivan Street Partners, he held positions at Hogan Lovells and Shoosmiths, where he developed a strong track record across a broad spectrum of transactions.
The appointment is expected to add significant value to the firm’s expanding team, with Renny’s experience in private equity transactions seen as directly aligned with Sullivan Street Partners’ investment strategy.
The firm, headed by Layton Tamberlin, Richard Sanders, and Zeina Bain, takes an operationally intensive and risk-pricing approach to complex situations in the UK and Ireland. Its focus lies on primary lower mid-market buyouts across a range of sectors, including industrials, consumer, healthcare, business services, facilities management, and financial services, with a particular emphasis on businesses facing stakeholder, operational, or structural complexities.
