The general counsel of Manuli Ryco in the acquisition of the Australian B.L. Shipway
Manuli Ryco, a multinational founded in 1935 with roots in Italy and Australia and now operating globally — with a presence in over 40 countries — in the design, manufacturing, marketing and sale of flexible hoses, hydraulic lines, connectors, fittings, machinery, systems and equipment for power transmission and fluid handling at medium, high and ultra-high pressure, across the hydraulic, refrigeration, Oil & Gas and industrial sectors, as well as in the provision of related integrated services, has completed — through its Australian subsidiary Fluiconnecto Ryco Australia — the acquisition of the entire business of B.L. Shipway & Co Pty Ltd., a company owned by the Shipway family and active in South Australia since 1953 in the supply of products and services in the hydraulics, lubrication, fittings and accessories sectors.
For the transaction, Manuli Ryco and Fluiconnecto Ryco Australia’s in-house legal department was involved, led by Group General Counsel Filippo Andreani (pictured).
The transaction was structured through the incorporation of a new company under Australian law named Fluiconnecto B.L. Shipway Pty Ltd., controlled by Fluiconnecto Ryco Australia and partially owned by a company linked to the Shipway family, which acquired the entire business unit from B.L. Shipway & Co. Pty.
