Nicoletta Luppi appointed president of Vaccines Europe

Nicoletta Luppi (pictured), President and Managing Director of MSD Italy, has been appointed President of Vaccines Europe, the organization representing companies engaged in the research, development, manufacturing, and supply of vaccines across Europe.

Luppi will assume the new role alongside her current positions as Vice President of Assolombarda, with responsibility for Europe and Life Sciences, and Coordinator of the Prevention Working Group and invited member of the Presidency Committee of Farmindustria.

As President of Vaccines Europe, she will bring extensive leadership experience in the pharmaceutical industry and a strategic vision focused on the critical role of prevention, innovation, and collaboration in shaping the future of Europe’s healthcare systems.

The appointment recognizes a distinguished career spanning more than a decade at the helm of MSD Italy, following senior leadership positions within the company and at Sanofi Pasteur MSD. Her new role further strengthens Italy’s contribution to the European dialogue on vaccination, public health, and healthcare sustainability.
